i use assistive ai tools in my research, planning, and writing process to streamline the development process and save time. this means that my most recent stories were written with the help of tools like character.ai, chatgpt, claude, and gemini for roleplay, testing, researching, inspirational visualization, planning, organization, and continuity and canon logging and checking. all characters and drafts were however ideated, developed, written, and fully edited by me. no part generated by ai have been used raw without fact checking or development and line editing by me. all drafts have also been beta read by human readers prior to publishing.
i am currently learning as much as i can about assistive and generative artificial intelligence. this page will be updated for any further developments and changes to the best of my abilities. as of publishing, below are my personal guardrails and policies for using ai.
- all primary ideas and story premises, plot lines, and character backstories will always be originally written by me
- all initial drafts will primarily be written first by me, not by ai
- ai shall be used primarily for non-generative purposes, specifically three things: learning (i.e., research, data validation, deep analysis), correcting (i.e., line editing, dev editing, fact checking), and summarizing (i.e., logging, organizing, systematizing, listing, archiving)
- every single word or line generated by ai will be thoroughly read and edited by me (strictly no raw copy-paste)
- all ai platforms used during the creative process were properly researched, learned, and trained based on my writing and research needs; training is routinely done with proper handovers and backups
- all llm used are paid and checked for privacy settings to ensure that my work is not being used for platform-wide training
- everything untouched by ai will be in lowercase to help readers identify raw writing
- any work with generative ai will be labeled properly
- any work created with non-generative ai will also be labeled properly
