about this hub

this hub is my second brain. my writing brain. in an attempt to reclaim my authorial voice in the age of ai, i will be documenting my process as both proof of human creativity and a source of improvement. i use animals to symbolize my personas:

• owl - my brain
• turtle - my heart
• bee - my hand

owl hideout will therefore be my writing hub. a place to store information, thoughts, processes, quotes, things that i need in digital format. most of my notes are in my bullet journal, but this will be a repository of fleshed-out drafts and work-in-progress notes that will hopefully be of help to me as i reclaim myself from ai brain rot.

this has been written without ai’s help. all unformatted texts written in small caps are written by me. properly formatted texts are edited or written by ai.

This is a multi-platform, multi-format ensemble literary fiction that uses romance and erotic intimacy as its primary vehicle for interrogating gender, power, survival, and the violence of social norms — on bodies, on love, on friendship, on selfhood.

Our work doesn't ask: will they end up together? It asks: what did it cost them to become who they are, and was the price fair, and who decided the price?
